My favorite thing is being that go-to person for the learners, whether it be for questions about job placement, the course, or just being a CNA. We have so many resources that we're able to offer the learners. It's an amazing feeling being able to help turn around someone's life.
Because it's one of the most rewarding careers out there. You can impact someone's life. At the end of the day, CNAs are always going to be needed, which makes for a very stable career path!
It's important because everyone should be taken care of. Being a caregiver allows you to advocate for a patient who is otherwise not in the position to do so, as well as provide emotional support when they don't have family or friends.
Number one on my bucket list is to get my jumping license to wing-suit dive off a mountain ... one day!
My favorite aspect is learning from the other mentors. I appreciate how invested and enthusiastic they are in assisting learners with achieving their goals of becoming Certified Nursing Assistants.
Where there is a need, you will find the givers. It’s an essential career that caters to nurturing someone while they are healing. I love that there are so many specialties and avenues one can pursue as a CNA. My life is forever changed in the best way possible. I have encountered some pretty amazing people, and even the difficult ones you learn from. The gratitude most patients express after you have cared for them is heartwarming, and it lets you know you’ve done good.
Oftentimes I’ve gone into care facilities ready and willing to provide the best care and support — giving of myself in the form of kindness, gentle encouragement, a smile, patience — only to receive joy and happiness from another. I appreciate all the bonding moments, the moments where, if a resident is having a bad day, I take the time to understand how I can completely turn it around.
I’m the singing CNA that you can hear coming a mile away!
My favorite thing is that I get to see learners from many different backgrounds complete our course and start their nursing careers. Also, I love how everyone on the team is very supportive and they don't hesitate to use all the resources possible.
Because it's one of the most rewarding jobs out there. Not only are you making someone's day, but you also learn so much from the people you take care of.
I think it's important because patients need all the support and care they can get. By being great caregivers, we can make sure that we are doing our best to help them through those vulnerable times.
I change hobbies more than the seasons change! Currently, I am collecting baseball cards, day trading, streaming on Twitch and making podcasts!
My favorite part about being a mentor is being able to help others achieve their goal to become CNAs! It’s so much fun watching others succeed knowing I was able to help them along the way!
Because there is nothing more rewarding in life than helping others who are unable to care for themselves. Just knowing you are able to make a difference in their lives makes the job that much more meaningful and fulfilling!
I think it's so important because everyone needs care at some point in their lives. And everyone deserves to get the best care available. That’s why we are there — to be the best advocates for our patients!
I love to bake — but don’t let my homemaker skills fool you, I have a wild side! On my bucket list is to go shark-diving! Preferably in a cage! I’ve been obsessed with sharks my whole life!
